Wizon OÜ is an Estonian data analytics consultancy founded in 2013. We help organisations turn their fragmented data into trusted management insight. Wizon’s services cover whole data journey: assessing the current state of data analytics, creating a data roadmap,, data warehouse development, management reporting (BI) and AI solutions.

Wizon was founded by data analytics specialists, and the founders are still actively involved in Wizon’s management. Wizon’s office is in the Rotermann District in center of Tallinn.

Wizon has been in business since 2013 and has a team of over 30 experts. Several of Wizon’s consultants have worked in the data analytics field for years before joining Wizon. The consultants have experience across different industries and different technologies. Our specialists also regularly renew their certifications, including Tableau, Snowflake, dbt and Microsoft technologies.

Wizon has worked with organisations across many fields: banking, government, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail and others. We have worked with clients such as Telia Estonia, LHV Pank, Swedbank, Ericsson Estonia, TEHIK, the Estonian Health Insurance Fund (Tervisekassa), Eesti Loto, Magnum, Meliva and others.

Yes, Wizon has actively participated in public procurements in its field and advised both state-owned companies and government agencies on developing data analytics solutions. In one of the larger public-sector projects, Wizon migrated the Estonian Health Insurance Fund’s data warehouse to a shared platform managed by TEHIK. Wizon has also had long-term cooperation with Riigi Kinnisvara, Eesti Loto, KeMIT, TEHIK, Tallinn University, the North Estonia Medical Centre, the National Audit Office, Hoolekandeteenused, RMIT and others.

Cooperation usually starts with a free initial consultation, during which we discuss together what the client needs and how Wizon could help. Based on that, we propose the next steps, whether a more thorough health-check and roadmap, a specific project proposal or a technology proof of concept.

As part of creating a data roadmap, we carry out a structured assessment during which Wizon maps the organisation’s data flows, source systems and processes. The outcome is a roadmap that puts the necessary steps in order of priority and serves as the basis for the next investment decisions.

The price depends on the scope and complexity of the project. Creating the data roadmap has a fixed scope, which makes the cost of getting started predictable. The initial consultation is free and comes with no obligations.

Yes. Wizon was founded wit the belief that good data analytics is not a privilege reserved for large enterprises. Open-source components, modern cloud services and AI services make it possible to start with a low initial investment and grow the solution step by step.

Analytics-as-a-Service means Wizon creates and manages the client’s complete data analytics solution as an ongoing service: the data warehouse, automated data flows and reporting. The client focuses on their business, while Wizon takes care of the technical side and supplies the client with the management insight they need.

A data warehouse is a central place where data from different systems (ERP, accounting, operational systems) is consolidated into a single body of data used across the organisation for analytical purposes. You need one when there are many data sources, getting data out of them is technically complex, reporting requires a lot of manual work, numbers from different systems do not match, or analytics requires combining data from multiple sources.

Yes, modernising and migrating existing solutions is one of Wizon’s core services. For example, Wizon moved Telia’s entire reporting from SAP Business Objects to Tableau, and the Estonian Health Insurance Fund’s data warehouse to a shared Vertica platform. Changes are made in stages, without disrupting the business.

Yes, Wizon has worked with several clients in a model where our experienced specialist joins the client’s existing analytics team as a consultant for a shorter or longer period. This gives the organisation the expertise it needs immediately, to deliver a project or cover a temporary resource need, without a long recruitment process.

Yes, Wizon is an official Tableau reseller partner. Wizon helps choose the right licensing package and growth plan for the organisation and delivers the licences. Wizon knows both the platform and the vendor, and balances the vendor’s interests with the client’s.

As a partner, Wizon thinks through together with the client which licences, which packages and in what volume make sense to purchase, without heavy sales pressure. All communication and the transaction itself take place between two local companies, saving the client from complex international bureaucracy and currency transactions. In addition, Wizon gives the client one stable contact for both licence sales and renewals.

Tableau uses a role-based licensing model: Creator (content creators and analysts), Explorer (users who adapt existing content) and Viewer (viewers). Wizon helps put together the right combination of licences for the organisation.

Yes, Wizon runs Tableau training for both beginners and advanced users, either in-house for the client’s team or as an open training programme. The trainers are our daily Tableau users/consultants.

Yes. Wizon’s support team knows the platform in depth and helps quickly, whether the topic is licence management, performance or data source integrations. The support is local, in Estonian or English.

Yes. Tableau supports embedded analytics: interactive visualisations can be integrated into a company’s own product or portal. This lets you offer self-service analytics to your customers or monetise your data. Wizon helps design and implement such solutions.

Most of our work involves loading and modelling data, where we use entirely different tools than Tableau. For analysing and visualising data we use both Tableau and Power BI. We know Tableau well, but since it is a highly self-service tool, most clients work with it independently.

Wizon holds official partnerships with Tableau, Snowflake and dbt, and we have used these technologies in many projects. We choose the technology according to the problem and the client’s preconditions. A more thorough list of the technologies we have worked with can be found on our technologies page.

Wizon prefers open standards and open-source components (e.g. dbt, Airbyte, Kestra, Apache Hop) and chooses technology based on the client’s goals, not the vendor’s interests. For example, the Estonian Health Insurance Fund’s data platform is built predominantly on open source, so there is no dependence on a single vendor.

No. Wizon usually establishes the data foundation in the cloud (e.g. Snowflake), but can also build it on the client’s own infrastructure. The choice depends on the client’s security requirements and previously used platform, data volumes, expected costs and other factors.

Yes. Wizon’s primary platform and partner technology is Tableau, but the team is also experienced with Power BI solutions and we also deliver consultancy on the Microsoft platform.

Yes. Wizon takes a pragmatic approach to AI: the foundation of everything is well-organised data, followed by the AI solution. Wizon helps assess the data’s readiness for AI, select the right solution (e.g. Snowflake Cortex or local language models) and implement it step by step, with minimal risk.

AI models are only as good as the data they rely on. If the underlying data is fragmented, inconsistent or undocumented, AI produces unreliable results and amplifies existing errors. That is why Wizon always starts by putting the data foundation in order and only then builds the AI solution.

Wizon takes data protection requirements into account at the architecture level: data stays securely on the server, access is role-based, and for sensitive data it is possible to use solutions where the data never leaves the organisation’s control.

Yes, Wizon is always open to new people, even when there is no active opening posted. Both experienced candidates and talented juniors with a real interest in the data field are welcome: analysts, developers, data engineers, data scientists and other specialists.

Wizon offers both interesting projects and broad opportunities to learn. Depending on the experience a new person joins with, we always put together a personal onboarding plan for the first period. New employees are supported by experienced colleagues and, as a rule, work with the field’s modern technologies. The team balances experience and youth. Our office is in the Rotermann Quarter in Tallinn.

Wizon gladly hires young talents who want to grow into data professionals with us. If completing a university internship is part of that journey, we can certainly arrange it together. However, if someone is looking for an internship only, we generally cannot offer that, because our work always involves clients’ data and we cannot provide access to the environments needed for an effective internship.
